Iggy Pop

MARK 5:28

Iggy Pop performed two highly regarded concerts at the Sydney Opera House on the eve of his 72nd birthday. This photo is from Wednesday 17th April 2019 mid-way through the concert when Iggy asks who would like to dance with him while he performs ‘No Fun’:

No fun to be alone

The photo has been likened to art works by Caravaggio, Bill Viola and Peter Howson. My friend Peter Campbell found it reminiscent of the biblical story depicted in Mark 5:25-34 and recommended the title: Mark 5:28.

‘If I can touch even his clothes,’ she had told herself, ‘I shall be well again.’
